A British hacker's six-year fight against extradition ended when five law lords dismissed his appeal. Gary McKinnon could face up to 70 years in prison and fines totalling £880,000 after his extradition appeal was dismissed, McKinnon was arrested in 2002 for illegally accessing US government computers and causing £353,500 damage, in the biggest military computer hack of all time, He has been accused of unlawfully gaining access to Pentagon, U.S. army, navy and NASA computers. McKinnon claims he's just a "computer nerd who wanted to find out whether aliens really existed and became obsessed with trawling large military networks for proof". He used his own PC in London - using a 56K dial-up modem - to hack 97 government computers in the States. Amongst the allegations, McKinnon is accused of causing the entire US Army's Military District of Washington network - consisting of more than 2,000 computers - to be shut down for 24 hours. McKinnon said he used off-the-shelf software to scan military networks, and claimed he found testimonies from senior US government figures reporting that technology obtained from extra-terrestrials did exist US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, said: "Mr McKinnon is charged with the biggest military computer hack of all time." I recon as he hacked into NASSA,computer system, he probrably found out more information, relating to the massive band of radiation far above the earths atmosphire, and that to land a human on the moon you would need a craft whith a coating of lead at least 7 feet thick, the yanks claim to have done it whith a craft constructed of tin foil, bigest con ever pulled, and look what happened to the nassa flight crew members who knew this fact ??? famious old saying my grandad used to say to me " bulshit baffles brains " cheers jamie
